  • Your own ending

minisnip.com/summer-sale instead of a random code.

  • Edit any time

Change the destination after the link is printed or posted.

  • Real clicks only

Previews, crawlers and scanners are never counted.

  • QR code included

Every link has a QR code in PNG or SVG.

How it works.

  1. 1

    Paste your long link

Any web address works: a product page, a form, a video, a file.

  2. 2

    Pick an ending (optional)

Leave it blank for a short random code, or type a word people can remember.

  3. 3

Share it and watch the clicks

Copy the link or download its QR code. Clicks show up in your dashboard as they happen.

A short link is a small address on our domain that sends visitors on to your long one. Because the link lives with us, you keep control of it after you share it:

  • Change the destination. Fix a typo, swap in a new landing page or point an old campaign somewhere useful. The link people already have keeps working.
  • Set when it works. Start a link at a set time, end it on a date or after a number of clicks, and send late visitors to a page of your choice.
  • Add campaign tags. The built-in UTM builder adds utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign for you, and you can change them later without changing the link.
  • Keep it organised. Tags, notes, search, filters and an archive keep hundreds of links easy to find.

Clicks you can trust

Most link shorteners count every request. That includes the preview WhatsApp makes when you paste a link, the crawler a social network sends, and the scanner that checks links inside company email. A link can show dozens of "clicks" before a single person has opened it.

MiniSnip checks each request before it counts. More than 140 bots are recognised by name, and traffic from crawler networks and cloud servers is caught as well. Those visits are kept in a separate list, so your click count means people. Read who opens your link before any person does to see what each app sends.

Fast, private and kept out of search results

Redirects are served from a cache, so most clicks never wait on a database. Short links use a temporary (302) redirect, so when you change a destination, everyone gets the new one instead of a copy their browser saved. Every short link also tells search engines not to index it, so nobody can use your links to push spam into search results. Visitor IP addresses are stored only as one-way hashes.

Try it without an account

The box at the top of this page makes a short link without signing up. Those links last 7 days. Create a free account to keep links permanently, edit them and see their analytics.

Frequently asked questions

Is the MiniSnip URL shortener free?

Yes. The Free plan includes 25 short links with custom endings, QR codes, the UTM builder and 30 days of analytics, with no card needed. Pro adds unlimited links and more.

Can I change where a short link goes after I share it?

Yes. Open the link in your dashboard and change the destination. The short link and its QR code stay the same, so printed and posted copies keep working.

Do MiniSnip links expire?

Not unless you want them to. Links made in your account last until you delete them. You can set an end date or a click limit yourself. Links made on this page without an account last 7 days.

Why are my MiniSnip clicks lower than on other shorteners?

Because link previews, crawlers and security scanners are not counted. They are listed separately as bot visits, so the click count only includes people.

Can I use my own domain for short links?

Yes, on Pro and Enterprise. Connect a domain such as go.yourbrand.com with a DNS record and create links on it. See Custom Domains for the steps.
