QR codes you can edit and track
Every MiniSnip link comes with a QR code. Print it once, change where it points whenever you like, and see how many people scanned it.

The code opens your short link, so you can change the destination.
Scans counted on their own
Scans show as QR in your analytics, apart from clicks.
Your colours and logo
Pick any colours and add a logo in the middle.
PNG or SVG
Up to 2,000 pixels wide, sharp enough for print.
How it works.
- 1
Create a short link
Paste the address the code should open. Any web page works.
- 2
Style the code
Choose colours, a size and, if you like, upload your logo (under 300 KB).
- 3
Download and print
Save it as PNG for screens or SVG for print. Change the link later without reprinting.
Static and dynamic QR codes
A static QR code stores the destination itself. Once it is printed, it can never change: if the page moves, the code is dead. A dynamic QR code stores a short link instead, and the short link decides where the scan goes. Every QR code you make in your MiniSnip account is dynamic.
| Static QR code | MiniSnip QR code | |
|---|---|---|
| Change the destination after printing | No | Yes |
| Count scans | No | Yes, without bots |
| See country, device and time of scans | No | Yes |
| Turn it off or set an end date | No | Yes |
| Works if your website address changes | No | Yes |
If you only need a quick code for a link that will never change, our free QR code generator makes one in your browser without an account.
Scans you can tell apart from clicks
Each MiniSnip QR code opens its link with a small tag (?src=qr). Your analytics then show scans as their
own source, separate from people who clicked the same link in a message or post. You can compare a poster
with an Instagram story even when both use the same link.
Scans get the same bot filtering as clicks, so the count is people who actually opened the link.
Designed to scan
- Colours. Pick any foreground and background colour. Keep the dots darker than the background so every camera can read them.
- Logo. A logo covers the middle of the code. When you add one, MiniSnip switches to the highest level of error correction so the code still scans.
- Size and format. Download up to 2,000 pixels wide. SVG stays sharp at any print size; PNG is easiest for screens and documents.
- Generated by MiniSnip. Codes are made on our own servers, not by a third-party service that could log or change them.
Where dynamic QR codes help
Restaurant menus that change with the season, product packaging that should open the latest manual, event posters, business cards and shop windows. Anything printed in quantity is worth pointing at a short link first, so a new web address never means a new print run. Frequently asked questions
Are MiniSnip QR codes free?
Yes. Every short link includes a QR code on every plan, including Free. You can download it as PNG or SVG, up to 2,000 pixels wide.
Do MiniSnip QR codes expire?
No. A QR code keeps working as long as its short link exists. If you set an end date on the link, scans after that date go to the page you chose for expired links.
Can I change where a QR code goes after printing it?
Yes. The code opens your short link, so changing the link's destination in your dashboard changes where every printed copy goes.
Can I add my logo to a QR code?
Yes. Upload a logo under 300 KB when you download the code. MiniSnip uses the highest error correction level so the code still scans with the logo in the middle.
How do I see how many people scanned my QR code?
Open the link in your dashboard. Scans are listed as the QR source, with country, device and time, separate from clicks on the same link.
