Link analytics without the bots
See where every click on your short links comes from: the country, the device, the app and the campaign. Bots, previews and scanners are filtered out first.

How it works.
- 1
Share a MiniSnip link
Use it in posts, messages, ads, emails or a QR code.
- 2
Clicks are checked
Each visit is classified as a person or a bot before it counts.
- 3
Read the report
Open any link, or your whole account, to see clicks by source, place, device and time.
What each report shows
- Clicks and unique visitors, over any date range, in your own time zone.
- Where: countries and cities.
- What: device type, operating system and browser.
- Which app: referrers, plus 25 in-app browsers such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Telegram and LinkedIn.
- Which campaign: UTM tags, platform click IDs and your own
?src=tags. - When: clicks by day, by hour of the day and by day of the week.
- Recent clicks: a live list of the latest visits with place, device, app and source.
Reports exist for each link and for your whole account. On Pro and Enterprise, you can export clicks as CSV, read them through the API, or receive each click as a signed webhook.
Why bot filtering changes the numbers
Paste a link into WhatsApp and WhatsApp's servers fetch it to build the preview. Share it on a social network and its crawler visits. Send it by email and a security scanner opens it. None of these are people, but most link tools count them as clicks.
MiniSnip recognises more than 140 bots by name and also catches requests from crawler networks, cloud servers and scripts. They are kept in a separate list with the bot's name and the reason it was flagged, so you can see exactly what was filtered and why. Our guide on whether your Instagram and Facebook clicks are real shows how to check this yourself.
Less "Direct", more answers
Many apps open links without saying where they came from, so other tools file those clicks as "Direct".
MiniSnip reads the in-app browser, platform click IDs and campaign tags to name the source in far more
cases. For apps that hide everything, add a tag such as ?src=wa to the link you share there.
Share results without sharing your account
Turn on a public stats page for any link and send the address to a client or teammate. They see the numbers for that link only, read-only, with no sign-in. For a whole team, invite viewers to your workspace instead.
How long data is kept
| Plan | History |
|---|---|
| Free | 30 days |
| Pro | 365 days |
| Enterprise | 1,095 days (3 years) |
Visitor IP addresses are never stored in readable form, only as one-way hashes used to count unique visitors. Reports show places and devices, not people.
Frequently asked questions
What does MiniSnip count as a click?
A visit from a person. Requests from link previews, search engines, AI crawlers, email scanners, crawler networks and cloud servers are recorded separately as bot visits and not counted.
How do I see clicks from WhatsApp or Instagram?
Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other apps are recognised from their in-app browsers. WhatsApp hides where clicks come from, so add ?src=wa to the link you share there and the clicks show WhatsApp as the source.
How long does MiniSnip keep click data?
30 days on Free, 365 days on Pro and 1,095 days on Enterprise.
Can I export my click data?
Yes, on Pro and Enterprise. Download links and clicks as CSV, read them through the REST API, or receive each click as a webhook.
Does MiniSnip track personal data?
Reports show countries, cities, devices and sources. IP addresses are stored only as one-way hashes, used to count unique visitors, and cannot be turned back into an address.
