Proven by DNS
A TXT record shows the domain is yours.

How it works.
- 1
Add the domain
Enter a domain or subdomain you own, such as go.yourbrand.com.
- 2
Add two DNS records
A TXT record proves you own it; a CNAME or A record sends its traffic to MiniSnip.
- 3
Verify and create links
Press Verify. Once the domain serves links, pick it when you create a link.
Why brand your short links
A link on your own domain tells people who sent it before they tap. That matters in messages and emails, where unknown short links look like spam. It also keeps your links portable: the domain is yours, so the links never depend on someone else's brand.
A subdomain is usually best
Most teams use a short subdomain such as go., link. or l. on their main domain. Your website stays
where it is and only the subdomain points to MiniSnip. You can also use a separate short domain if you own
one, such as yrbrnd.co. Both work the same way, and www. and the bare domain are treated as the same
domain.
How connecting works
- Add the domain under Domains in your dashboard.
- Prove it is yours with a TXT record named
_minisnip.yourdomainthat holds the code shown in your dashboard. A CNAME alone is not accepted as proof, so nobody can take over a domain that happens to point at us. - Send its traffic to MiniSnip with the CNAME record (for a subdomain) or A record (for a bare domain) shown in your dashboard.
- Press Verify. The domain is marked Verified once it serves links. DNS changes can take a few hours.
For where to find these settings at common domain providers, read our guide to branded short links on your own domain.
Control what visitors see
- Root redirect. Choose where people go when they open the bare domain, such as your homepage.
- Not-found redirect. Send mistyped or deleted links to a page of yours instead of an error.
- Safe to remove. If you delete a domain, its links move to the main MiniSnip domain instead of breaking.
Links on your domain get everything a normal short link has: QR codes, editable destinations, country and device rules, retargeting pixels and analytics without bots. They are also kept out of search results, so nobody can use your domain to rank spam.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use my own domain with MiniSnip?
Yes. Pro includes 3 custom domains and Enterprise includes 25. Use a subdomain such as go.yourbrand.com or a separate short domain you own.
Will connecting a subdomain affect my website?
No. Only the subdomain you add, such as go.yourbrand.com, points to MiniSnip. Your main website and email keep working as before.
Which DNS records do I need?
Two: a TXT record named _minisnip.yourdomain with the code from your dashboard, and a CNAME record (for a subdomain) or A record (for a bare domain) with the value shown next to it.
What happens when someone opens just the domain?
They go to the root redirect you set, such as your homepage. Unknown or deleted links go to your not-found redirect if you set one.
What happens to my links if I remove a domain?
They move to the main MiniSnip domain with the same endings, so they keep working at their new address.
