Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Mini Snip ("MiniSnip", "we", "us"), the operator of minisnip.com, and they apply whenever you use MiniSnip, its dashboard, its API or any short link it serves. By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use MiniSnip for an organisation, you confirm that you can accept these terms on its behalf.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your sign-in details and API keys secret. You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by team members you invite.
- Tell us straight away at support@minisnip.com if you think someone has used your account without permission.
Acceptable use
Short links hide where they lead, so we hold them to a high standard. You must not use MiniSnip to:
- link to phishing, malware, scams, fake login pages or anything designed to deceive people;
- send spam, or promote links through unsolicited bulk messages;
- share content that is illegal where you or your audience are, including child sexual abuse material, content that promotes terrorism, and the sale of illegal goods;
- infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights;
- harass, threaten or impersonate any person or organisation;
- hide a destination to get around safety filters or platform rules, for example through cloaking or chains of redirects;
- collect personal data through pixels or destinations without the notice and consent the law requires;
- interfere with or overload the service, get around plan limits or rate limits, or access accounts that are not yours.
Enforcement and reporting
We may disable a link, show a warning page instead of redirecting, remove content, or suspend or close an account if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken or people are at risk. Where it is safe and lawful, we will tell you why.
To report a harmful link, email support@minisnip.com with the short link and what is wrong with it.
Your content
You keep ownership of the links, pages and other content you add to MiniSnip. You give us permission to store, process and display that content only as needed to run the service for you. You are responsible for your content and your destinations, and you confirm you have the right to use them.
Custom domains
You may only connect domains you own or are authorised to use. You manage the domain's DNS records. We may stop serving a domain that is used to break these terms.
Plans and billing
- Free plan. The Free plan costs nothing and has the limits shown on our pricing page. Links made on the home page without an account stop working after 7 days.
- Paid plans. Pro and Enterprise are priced in US dollars per month. Card subscriptions are billed monthly, in advance, and renew automatically until you cancel. Sales tax or VAT may be added depending on where you are.
- Launch offer. The first 500 new accounts get the Pro plan free for one month. It is limited to one per person: one per email address, network and browser. When the month ends, the account moves to the Free plan unless you upgrade; nothing is charged automatically. Accounts created to claim the offer more than once may lose it. We may end the offer early.
- Invite a friend. When someone creates a new account through your invite link, you both get one month of Pro, added after any free time you already have, up to 12 months for each person who invites. Each person can be invited once; your own second accounts, shared devices and temporary email addresses don't qualify. Months can't be added to a plan that renews by card. Rewards earned by abuse may be removed, and we may change or end the programme.
- Crypto payments. You can also pay in cryptocurrency through NOWPayments for 1, 3 or 12 months at a time. Crypto payments do not renew: when the time you paid for ends, your account moves to the Free plan unless you pay again. Paying for more of the plan you have adds to the time left; switching plans starts the new plan straight away. Send the exact amount shown before the invoice expires. A payment that arrives short is not applied automatically, so contact us and we will sort it out.
- Payment provider. Payments are processed by our payment provider. Where it acts as merchant of record, it is the seller of your subscription and its own terms also apply to the payment.
- Cancelling. You can cancel a card subscription at any time from the Billing page in your dashboard, or by emailing us. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan.
- Refunds. New subscriptions come with a 14-day money-back guarantee. See our Refund Policy.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails and is not fixed, your account moves to the Free plan.
- Price changes. We will tell you before a price change applies to you. It takes effect from your next renewal.
API and webhooks
The API and webhooks are part of the paid plans. Keep your API keys private and stay within the rate limits. We may revoke a key that is misused or exposed, and we may change the API with reasonable notice.
Changes to MiniSnip
We are always improving MiniSnip, so features may change. If we remove a significant feature of a paid plan, we will tell you before it happens.
Availability and disclaimer
We work hard to keep MiniSnip fast and available, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Apart from what these terms expressly promise, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, MiniSnip is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of your content, your destinations or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result.
Ending your account
You can stop using MiniSnip at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts as described under Enforcement and reporting. When an account is closed, its short links stop working and its data is deleted as set out in our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as limitation of liability, survive.
Your rights as a consumer
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the protections the law of your own country gives you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for significant changes, tell account holders in the dashboard or by email before they take effect. If you keep using MiniSnip after that, the new terms apply.
